Global Execution & Enablement Data Integration & Standardization – Business Intelligence Intern
In the Global Execution and Enablement organization, we are aligned with the Siemens Digital Industries Software’s strategy of going to market by industry. Part of doing so is reaching new target customer segments to increase awareness and demand of our technologies, as well as influence direct engagement with our sales organization. In support of that, we have a need for an exceptional Data Integration & Standardization Business Intelligence Intern that can determine, define, and manage project scope and objectives. Many projects will be centered on identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. This role includes providing support in the evaluation of data elements and data standardization. This role will be responsible for converting the structure of disparate datasets into common data formats to improve reporting capabilities, quality, and velocity of data into targeted systems.
Duties and Responsibilities could include:
  • Check data quality and removes duplications, corrects errors and ensures that any process changes to improve data collection are in place
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress\
  • Extract, structure, analyze, standardize, and maintain large data sets to find usable information
  • Build automation processes around data cleansing and standardization
  • Enhance data quality and validation checks through automation and reporting
  • Find and close gaps in integrations between systems
  • Coordinate with data taxonomist on meta data standardization across marketing platforms
  • Prioritize and schedule all work according to project objectives and expectations while providing all necessary support to ensure quality deliverable in a timely manner
  • Identify and suggest ideas for reducing effort spent on data management and analysis by using automation or by process optimization
  • Work effectively with peers, research analysts, and manager – both within the team as well as other teams in multiple time zones.
  • Adapt to changes to technology, process, systems as we transform our business
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Report out results of program to stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of IT, computer science, math, physics, engineering, Technology or another related field
  • Relevant course work in marketing or business preferred
  • Knowledge of Programming languages; Python, SQL
  • Possess strong planning, scheduling, and project management skills with the ability to plan and work independently
  • Experience with data gathering and manipulation (merging datasets, identifying missing data, data cleansing)
  • Ability and desire to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills with ability to handle multiple tasks at once and provide suggestions for possible solution sets
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to pattern match and notice anomalies within large sets of data
