Intern (Business Line Intelligence Analyst -- Remote, VA or NC)

Position Description

Atlantic Union’s Diversity Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local diverse students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks, and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Atlantic Union’s Business Line Intelligence (BLI) Intern Program is designed to provide interns with the opportunity to witness the solving of real-world business problems with data. The intern will assist the BLI team with performing, reporting, and analysis requests.

Position Accountabilities

The Intern is provided assignments that include the entire audit process; from planning an audit, to performing test work, to creating issues for reporting audit findings, to finalizing an audit. The intern will also get the opportunity to:

  • Shadow Business Line Intelligence teams on projects
  • Work on small analysis projects as a group and individually

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Information Services Mgr., Business Line Intelligence

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years’ old
  • Currently working on degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or other technical discipline.
  • Previous classwork exposure to simple database querying
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday. Interns will work remotely at a workspace that meets Atlantic Union Bank standards.
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references
