Parsons is looking for a marketing and events intern for the summer of 2022. Our marketing and events internship opportunity will challenge you and provide real opportunities to apply the business and communication skills that you are learning in college.

Let’s talk about what you’ll be doing:

• Leading the coordination of an annual charity golf outing tournament.
• Responsibilities include building relationships with potential sponsors and donors, maintaining and tracking sponsors and donors, advertising through local media outlets, coordinating planning meetings, creating weekly email blasts, etc.
• Working various marketing and event projects under Enterprise Marketing Group, specifically relating to tradeshows/conferences and memberships.
• Utilizing marketing and business skills through individual assignments and team projects.
• Interacting with associates at all levels of our organization.
• Developing creative, branding, business, and marketing skills.
• Interns will work full-time, Monday through Friday. The internship will be partially remote/in-person at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD office.

Here's What We’re Looking for:

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or related technical field
• Junior or Senior status
• Major GPA greater than 3.0
• Experience with relationship building, collaboration and written and verbal communication
• Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as part of a team
• Organized and ability to prioritize multiple tasks or assignments and meeting deadlines
• Attention to detail and self-motivated
• Skill with Microsoft Office computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Desired qualifications

• Understanding of marketing CRM tools (ex: Mail Chimp)
• Exposure to Microsoft SharePoint
