The Role

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

As a Post-Production Intern, you will learn the day-to-day and overall workflow of Post Production. At the end, you will have a comprehensive understanding of a studio post-production process. You'll get to;

  • Have hands on experience in a robust post-production studio environment. (Participating in the prep, editing, and finishing processes on various projects)
  • Work with Post-Production Coordinators and Managers on Assignments as needed.
  • Hands on experience in post-production management:
    • Help manage projects by checking in on status/progress of editors, assistant editors, graphics artists, etc. per daily project milestones
    • Perform research on projects as needed
    • Help keep tracking workbooks, nite note and google calendar up to date with active project information
    • Drafting submission & delivery emails [using email templates]
    • Uploading videos to review/ delivery platform & generating links [WireDrive, FTP, GDrive, Kaltura]
    • Consolidating client/agency/internal feedback from emails into the project's notes tracker and sharing with editors/Creative Directors [CD]
    • Quality Check [QC] review cuts and master versions of episodes, confirming all notes have been addressed during/ flagging to editor/CD any notes that were missed
  • Hands on experience in post-production projects:
    • Ingest footage, prep media, and organize projects for edit in Premiere Pro following standards and guidelines set by the Lead Assistant Editor
    • Learn color and mix finishing processes
    • Assist with basic re-versioning of masters & light editing work where needed
    • Quality Check [QC] review cuts and master versions of episodes, confirming all notes have been addressed during/ flagging to editor/CD any notes that were missed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have an interest in Post-Production:
    • Interest in becoming an Assistant Editor, Editor, Graphic Artist, Animator, etc.
    • Interest in Post Coordinating, Producing or Management

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed fully remotely from home. A laptop will be provided to you.

  • We offer 12-week spring and summer opportunities
  • Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.
  • The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
  • Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.
