POSITION SUMMARY:

At West, interns are key contributors to the company. During your 10-week, competitively paid internship program, you will gain significant, well-rounded and marketable skills and experience.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work alongside West’s industry experts
  • Manage and present individual and/or group project(s)
  • Actively participate in department meetings and conference calls.
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Adhere to quality and other required standards
  • Collaborate with fellow West interns, across multiple West locations
  • Learn and master West applications and technology
  • Participation in Lunch n’ Learns, networking and philanthropic events
  • Participate in Lab and/or Plant tours
  • Provide daily operational support including preparation and analysis of daily cash position
  • Assist with activities relating to banking including transactions, bank documentation, and bank fees
  • Assist with analyzing balance sheet currency exposures
  • Learn back-office function for foreign currency settlements
  • Develop working knowledge of the WPS Global Property/Casualty insurance program structure and participate in insurance renewal process
  • Coordinate internal purchase order requisitions monitor invoice payment status in SAP S/4 HANA system
  • Provide data analysis through pivot tabling in Microsoft Excel
  • Participate in various ad hoc projects related to Global Treasury, Risk and Insurance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a College or University Bachelor’s Degree Program
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior at time of internship – Summer 2022
  • Able to work FT hours and available during 10-week program duration of May 31, 2022 – Aug 9, 2022
  • Located local to the city of opportunity or willing to relocate to within local during program duration, without relocation assistance
  • Able to work remote or hybrid

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing degree in Business with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or Economics discipline
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Previous internships or relevant work experience
  • Collaborative nature
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
