Responsibilities:
Our intern will get to enhance their skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop). Assist editors on our weekly On-Air Minutes news pieces. Edit videos that will live on Discovery/Science/Animal Planet social accounts. They will gain real world production and post production skills.
Marketing Design Intern: The Factual Marketing Design team leads all key art marketing efforts for Discovery, Animal Planet and Science. The work we produce is highly visible to millions of viewers in the US and used across the planet to market our content to customers.
Our intern will work on a very fast moving team that develops all key art for our networks. The intern will assist and learn from professional designers and work alongside our project manager to keep assets flowing through the pipeline, lending a hand on a key art projects and campaigns where needed. Being that this is a summer internship, they will likely also be a part of our largest yearly pop culture campaign for Shark Week.
Qualifications:
This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

Factual Networks Editing Intern: The Multiplatform Production Team creates video content that elevates linear programming, discovery+, and emerging social platforms like Tiktok and Instagram Reels for the Discovery, Science Channel and Animal Planet brands. We think creatively and use to pop culture trends to get our message out. Each day we get to create something new that keeps our brands in the conversation.

- Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Must be graphic design major for design roles
- Premiere Pro Editing, After Effects knowledge, Photoshop

Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.
The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.
