Overview:
This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

(This Hybrid opportunity is located in Miami).

The Discovery Family team is a small but dynamic team consisting of programming, producing, creative, marketing and editing. In addition to running the network the team is responsible for media planning, programming, on-air and social creative.

DFC is a leading television destination for families in the United States, is available in more than 37 million U.S. homes and is a joint venture of Discovery and Hasbro. Discovery Family is programmed with an inspirational mix of original series and programming from Discovery’s non-fiction library and Hasbro Studios’ popular animation franchises
Responsibilities:
Tintern will work with the following departments and help with:
Social: sourcing images from focus and show clip
Creative/Promo Asst: Access to DEAL to help source material and content
Programming: Access to CLEAR to confirm Rights for programs; research sister networks to pull schedules for network borrow requests
Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Social media background, graphics/design, strong organization and communication skills

  • We offer 12-week spring and summer opportunities

  • Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.

  • The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.

  • Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.

  • We do not require a cover letter- please do not submit one. Instead, demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume and interviews.


Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A Discovery Intern team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
