Program Summary
The Summer Internship is a 9-week paid program offering a unique opportunity to high-potential college Juniors, who are interested in a career with a fast-paced, dynamic, luxury digital retail organization. The program builds cross-functional expertise and allows time to develop functional, technical, and leadership competencies. In addition to learning the key components of our teams at Saks, you will have the opportunity to meet with Senior Leadership from our Finance, HR, Marketing, Merchant, Technology, and Executive teams. To maximize your learning, the program is designed to provide you with experiences both on the job with your supervisor and in a classroom setting.* Curriculum is designed to target both soft and hard skill learning such as basic retail language, retail math, interviewing skills, and time management.
Role Description
This role will be responsible for assisting our Information Security team with protecting Saks technology infrastructure, applications, customer data, and intellectual property. This role will have the unique opportunity to work with various teams within Information Security to gain broad experience within all facets of an InfoSec Program
Experiences gained can include everything from writing alerts to identify malicious events, helping to identify security vulnerabilities within our systems, and performing risk assessments against the latest technologies
Work with the Incident Response team to discover, triage, and remediate security events across our environment using world-class enterprise-grade security tools
Analyze and track remediation of system and application vulnerabilities across critical business systems
Provide support to the Information Security risk team to ensure effective execution of security controls
Key Qualifications
Dynamic Juniors working towards a BA/BS with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must be available for a Summer internship from June 2022 until August 2022
Must be comfortable working virtually/remotely
Proven leadership ability through participation in organizations and clubs
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment.
