Zurich is currently looking for an Operations and Technology Services Intern in our Underwriting & Workplace Solutions Delivery Business for Summer of 2022 out of our Schaumburg, IL office.

Underwriting & Workplace Solutions Delivery (UWSD), drives customer experience and business operating model improvements through prioritized initiatives, process analytics and structured metrics.

This intern will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the elicitation and development of process models
• Collaborate with project team members and business contacts to create operational metrics
• Analyze and pull together information to help business areas assess the impact of key strategic initiatives
• Create operational metrics to help business areas assess the impact of key strategic initiatives.

You will learn:

• Data sourcing/extracting
• Data analysis skills
• Capacity modeling
• Process modeling
• Working collaboratively across various functions in North America
• Time management and self-direction in a fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2022
• Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
• Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, business analytics or related field
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Analytical Mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills in customer focused environment
• Quick Learner
• Collaborative
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as needed
