Undergraduate Human Resource Business Partner Internship, Summer 2022

Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ Hotstar and Star; as well as all domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DMED is also responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines.

Responsibilities :
A Day in the Life … As part of Disney Streaming’s Human Resources Business Partner team, this role would support the HRBP team that works with the Streaming Technology organization that built and launched Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. The team is looking for someone interested in the HR field, curious, and eager to learn the business to support various HR Initiatives while having fun.


Basic Qualifications :
  • Work with HRBPs across multiple groups to roll out various initiatives
  • Assist with projects and deliverables
  • Kickstart PowerPoints, Word, Excel documents to help with the narrative around the work
  • Not afraid to ask questions to better understand what’s needed to support the HR team and businesses
  • Help brainstorm possibilities and be a fresh pair of eyes and ears to the work being accomplished
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Outlook
  • Excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills working with colleagues across departments at all levels
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges
  • Well organized, with strong relationship building and time management skills
  • Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, balance numerous projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines and effectively work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • An appreciation for the Disney brand!

Required Education :
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a Junior taking at least one class at time of application
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduated with a major in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field

Additional Information :
  • The approximate dates of this internship are May/June – August/September 2022 (12 weeks)
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Work Environment: This opportunity will be located in California or New York based on team location.
  • Remote/In person: If remote, the internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space and the ability to work independently at their own housing.
If in person the intern is required to provide own housing and transportation to and from work in the surrounding area to the office
