Brand Strategy Intern - Remote/Part-time
This is a part-time remote internship for the summer of 2022
Primary Purpose:
The Brand Strategy Internship provides practical work experiences to college students assigned to the system Brand, Consumer Experience and Public Affairs (BCxPA) department that supports Advocate Aurora Health’s organizational strategies. To be eligible, a student must be pursuing a degree in brand, marketing, public relations, journalism/mass communications and/or digital and multimedia communications and have an interest in gaining interdisciplinary experience in a health care setting. This internship allows students to gain experience working alongside Advocate Aurora’s brand strategy leaders and brand services team. The intern will assist with brand campaigns including AAH’s always-on strategies to support brand awareness, DEI initiatives, sports partnerships and many more. The position will closely work alongside project managers, marketing, designers and video team members on research, project planning, marketing plan execution, analytics and other projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Partner closely with brand services and marketing team and outside vendors to direct, inform, and manage projects.- Provide project management support to ensure consistency and identify brand opportunities across all brand touchpoints.
- Monitor campaigns to gauge smooth implementation and effectiveness.
- Track and share results of campaign efforts by utilizing tracking systems to assess campaign effectiveness. Work with CRM, Consumer Insights, Digital, Social and other teams to obtain current market share reports and other campaign-specific actionable data.
- Participate in team meetings to ascertain goals, present plans, and review project development. Identify additional consumer research results and opportunities.
- Compile reports, as needed, for campaign report outs.
- Participate in discussions with internal team to direct, inform, and manage projects.
- Partner with stakeholders to define product and campaign goals and identify the best way to track those goals in our platforms.
- Understand the health care environment and provide ad-hoc assistance, as needed, across the brand services department.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, utilize Microsoft Teams for video and phone meetings regularly.
- Track and update reports as necessary.
- Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain presentations.
Position Requirements:
Education Required: Enrolled in an accredited College or University as Incoming Junior or Incoming Senior Level of Education: Enrolled in an accredited College or University as Incoming Junior or Incoming Senior
Experience Required: Classroom and other internship experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Passion for marketing, brand strategy, writing and health care- Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of information
- They must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- They should be customer service-oriented and learn techniques to best serve clients.
- Access to a reliable internet connection, computer, webcam, and phone for video calls
- Ability to take direction well, work independently and be motivated self-starters.
- Current enrollment at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree
- Grade point average of at least 2.5.
- Experience using various computers/software systems including Word, Windows based mainframe
- Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
