Digital Marketing Intern- Remote/ Part Time
This is a part-time remote internship for the summer of 2022
Purpose:
The Digital Marketing Internship provides practical work experiences to college students assigned to the system Brand, Consumer Experience and Public Affairs (BCxPA) department that supports Advocate Aurora Health’s organizational strategies. To be eligible, a student must be pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Business, or equivalent area of focus and have an interest in gaining interdisciplinary experience in a health care setting. This internship allows students to gain experience working alongside our Digital Marketing team. You’ll assist with maintenance and projects related to Google Ads and Search Engine Optimization. The position will closely work alongside project managers, SEO specialists, Google Ads experts and writers. You will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of search engine optimization, online marketing, and the process of content creation. This is a remote position starting mid May 2022
Accountabilities:
- Learning basic digital marketing strategies such as keyword research that can be used for both paid and organic marketing.
- Learn about HTML meta tags and on-page optimization. Identify pages that need basic SEO and the tags that need to be updated/changed.
- Become familiar with Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Build basic reports from keyword and traffic information.
- Identify 404 crawl errors and fixing dead links (Google Search Console)
- Learn basic competitive analysis. Assist with identifying keyword gaps and areas that can be improved.
- Become familiar with our SEO platform – Conductor.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, utilize Microsoft Teams for video and phone meetings regularly.
- Track and update reports as necessary.
- Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain presentations.
Position Requirements:
Education Required:
College/university junior or senior, or recent graduate, obtaining BA/BS/MBA in digital marketing, marketing, business, or equivalent area of focus
Experience Required: Classroom and other internship experience preferred.
Passion for digital marketing, SEO, Marketing, analytics, reporting and health care- Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of information
- They must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- They should be customer service-oriented and learn techniques to best serve clients.
- Access to a reliable internet connection, computer, webcam, and phone for video calls
- Ability to take direction well, work independently and be motivated self-starters.
- Current enrollment at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree
- Grade point average of at least 2.5.
- Experience using various computers/software systems including Word, Windows based mainframe
- Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, MS Word, Outlook.
