The Role

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

MotorTrend is looking for a Product Management Intern to join our Client Experiences team. The MotorTrend Client Experiences team powers our digital products across web, mobile apps, connected tv apps and more. In this role you'll partner closely with our UX and engineering teams to build best in class features for our loyal audience and attract new users with innovative content experiences.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about solving user problems and can influence the wider team to get features built and ship. This person should have a keen product sense and a passion for mobile app development. At the end, you'll have the opportunity to present your impact to the broader teams. You'll get to;

  • Help define the strategy (the what + the why) for our client experiences
  • Improve engagement with improved UX, discovery and recirculation
  • Maintain our high standards of app performance and speed while introducing new features
  • Gather requirements, prioritize features, manage scope and keep focus on project deliverables
  • Define, organize and document product requirement documents and user stories for product enhancements
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Update wiki documentation
  • Help prioritize a backlog of bugs and feature enhancements
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Work with management to define, understand and report on key indicators
  • Cultivate awareness and excitement for ourinitiatives with our engineers, designers and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Working knowledge of contemporary software development frameworks (SCRUM, Agile).
  • Working knowledge of common tools for content creation and management.

Work Environment:

  • Internship will require working remotely from home. A laptop will be provided to you.

  • We offer 12-week spring and summer opportunities
  • Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.
  • The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
  • Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.
