Job Description

Calling all rising junior and senior undergraduate students! We are currently seeking a superstar Data Science Intern to join the Fabletics team for Summer 2022.

What You’ll Do: The Data Science Intern will work with the Fabletics Data Analytics team and Data Science team to identify and implement improvements to existing and create new product recommendation algorithms. These product recommendation algorithms dynamically generate data populating website product grids, optimizing customer satisfaction and purchases .

  • Work within existing data and code frameworks to select, process, evaluate and process data into specified formats
  • Partner with team members and stakeholders to identify accessible opportunities most likely to improve existing and/or create new product recommendation algorithms
  • QA and document product recommendation algorithms
  • Identify and resolve, and performance and scaling bottlenecks in product recommendation algorithms
  • Learn the standard types and principles of recommendation algorithms and how they work
  • Learn about Fabletics technical infrastructure stack and how to use it

Who You Are:

  • Preferred majors/minors in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or other related fields.
  • Familiar with SQL, Python, and general data exploration, analysis, and visualization
  • Analytical thinker with logical structuring skills and ability to communicate thought processes articulately
  • Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

The Intern Gig: We are looking for enthusiastic students with ambition to go far. Our full-time paid internship program will give you a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it is like to be a part of our fast-paced and innovative company. Our summer internship program will be located in our El Segundo headquarters, and will run for 10 weeks from June 13th-August 19th. Our interns have the unique opportunity to gain real work experience, while participating in skill-building workshops and interactive social activities throughout the duration of the internship assignment.
