Technical Design Intern - Savage X Fenty

Calling all rising junior and senior undergraduate students! We are currently seeking a superstar Technical Design Intern to join the Savage X Fenty team for Summer 2022.

What You’ll Do:

  • Will work closely with a technical designer to analyze garments to determine compliance of spec, construction, and fit intent.
  • Support the technical design team during the proto fit stage.
  • Receive & coordinate sample receipt & updating WIP tracker/PLM and distribute samples among technical designers.
  • Attend and take detailed fit notes in fittings, clearly communicate fit corrections, and specs to vendors.
  • Organize sample closet and account for all samples.
  • Help prepare agendas, presentations, and materials for staff meetings and team events.
  • Gain a first-hand experience with the technical fit process & the impact on the customer experience supporting the brand ideology a perfect fit for all

Who You Are:

  • Preferred field of study: Fashion Design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong interest in fashion
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and hit deadlines
  • Demonstrates creative problem solving and collaborative thinking
  • Ability to follow through, ask questions, and maintain a high attention to detail
  • Understanding of design, development, and production process
  • Strong aesthetic style and awareness of current trends
  • Flexible, positive, and determined attitude
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams/Slack, and Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)

The Intern Gig: We are looking for enthusiastic students with ambition to go far. Our full-time paid internship program will give you a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it is like to be a part of our fast-paced and innovative company. Our summer internship program will be located in our El Segundo headquarters, and will run for 10 weeks from June 13th-August 19th. Our interns have the unique opportunity to gain real work experience, while participating in skill-building workshops and interactive social activities throughout the duration of the internship assignment.
