Medical Devices UK Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to support the commercial organisation in the UK and bring fresh new ideas to a fast paced, collaborative environment. In addition to the assigned projects, the successful individual will be given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and employees.
Essential Functions
- Support critical sales and marketing planning and execution activities.
- Utilise organisational skills to help organise, create content and deliver training programs to CooperSurgical employees, distributor representatives and Healthcare Professionals as well as industry and educational events, both virtual and in-person.
- Develop and organise marketing materials e.g. collateral and demo units to support promotional activities and sales.
- Deliver select product in-services and demonstrations to customers and distributors virtually and in-person
- Gather business data and organise information to support strategic decisions and day to day business management.
- Support requests for information, training and marketing material from different internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead on the input and transition of data adhering to internal procedures and processes.
- Remote customer engagement to explore businesss opportunities and create leads for the sales team.
Scope
- The UK Medical Devices portfolio has historically been managed and supported by UK Distributors. The move to build and manage a direct to market UK business, is a reflection of CooperSurgical’s investment and commitment to the growth of the CooperSurgical brand and business outside of the USA. Strategic planning and ongoing expansion of the division has highlighted the need for additional resource, to support the commercial infrastructure and sales performance of the current team. The ability to adapt to the needs of the organisation and deliver results is essential. This individual will be based in the UK and will interface with key stakeholders and leadership within the UK, EMEA regions and Headquarters in Trumbull, CT.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred.
- Well organised with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently.
- Intermediate skill level in managing social media communications.
- Excellent project management, organisational and follow-through skill set.
- Self-starter with an analytical temperament preferred.
- Professional demeanor.
Experience
- Not required, but prior Internship experience is a plus.
Education
- Current college student or recently graduated, preferred majors include Business, Marketing, or similar field, entering their Junior or Senior year.
