Description
Ingram Micro is seeking two motivated and talented Database Interns to join us in June for our 10-week PAID Summer Internship Program! We are looking for ambitious college and university students who are ready to expand their skills and apply them to meaningful work with a global organization.

Essential responsibilities of your role:
- Lean and provide MS SQL Server Database Administration support to global business and application teams
- Provide administrative and project support as needed
- Perform special projects as assigned by management
- Update system and process documentation to reflect current state
- Assist with daily monitoring and error investigation and triage
Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities you need to have:
Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program. Juniors or seniors are preferred.- Strong academic record with a cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficient at intermediate level in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems
- Experience with Unix or Linux operating system
- Basic understanding of SQL and PL/SQL Programming and Oracle 12c Skills
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to act as a team player with a customer focus attitude
- Well organized, self-starter who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunity
- Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and maturity
