Ingram Micro is seeking two motivated and talented Internal Audit Interns to join us in June for our 10-week PAID Summer Internship Program! We are looking for ambitious college and university students who are ready to expand their skills and apply them to meaningful work with a global organization.

Essential responsibilities of your role:


  • Test internal control samples and conclude on their effectiveness
  • Support quarterly internal control certification process to assess existing controls and diagrams to identify and incorporate process changes
  • Design and build dashboards and reports using Workiva
  • Reconcile audit frameworks and support the preparation of quarterly SOX reporting
  • Host and report on weekly Americas team status
  • Participate in a variety of challenging assignments, similar to those handled by full-time Internal Audit department staff.
  • Participate on audits of the company’s information technology and/or operations including, but not limited to:
  • Assist with and provides technical support for assurance reviews of the company’s automated systems;
  • Analyze data and business processes to evaluate and verify compliance with established policies and procedures; and
  • Determine if internal controls and processes are effectively designed and implemented.
  • Conduct diverse projects within Internal Audit to contribute to achievement of the department’s objectives and/or support ongoing audit attentions.
  • Servesas a “risk consultant” or advisor to audit clients by identifying technology control weaknesses or opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.


Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities you need to have:


  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program. Juniors or seniors are preferred.
  • Strong academic record with a cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel is a plus)
  • Experience with accounting ERP’s or concepts (SAP, HFM, OneStream, Quickbooks, etc.)
  • Experience in performing data queries or working with reporting systems/tools
  • Familiarity with audit/accounting concepts – internal controls, risk, financial statements/reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Initiative and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of generally accepted auditing techniques and broad understanding of technology fields, such as environmental and operating systems, information security, and/or project management preferred.
