Communications Intern (Spring-Fall)
Are you a communications, digital, advertising, or public relations student with solid social media, writing, and Adobe Premiere skills? Are you creative, passionate, and results-driven? Legal Counsel for the Elderly’s (LCE) Communications team is looking for you! Our team drives the internal and external communications for LCE, including traditional media and social media relations, video production, advertising, and several internal communique.
As an intern, you will apply strategic and creative thinking to promote LCE’s services and successes to all stakeholders. On any given day, you could be writing an internal communications piece, researching the social media environment and preparing posts, or shooting and editing short videos. We’ll challenge you to think and work in new ways. We are committed to your growth and cultivating your continued learning and development. This internship has an expected spring start date and will go to the end of the year.
On an average day, you will be:
Strategic
- Apply innovative thinking and problem-solving to challenges
Creative
- Identify strategies for promoting our services and successes
- Curate social media and traditional media content
- Create appropriate support media for posts
AARP/LCE also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program.
Additional requirements include:
- Writing and graphic samples for social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
- Videos or ads
- Ability to adapt quickly to new platforms, such as Microsoft Teams
- Allows for flexible work arrangements, including remote work.
