American National Insurance Company was founded in 1905. Our Internship Program was designed to provide young professionals with corporate experience that is not offered in the classroom. In addition to supporting their respective departments, each intern will have the opportunity to attend professional development sessions, volunteer within the community and attend company sponsored social events. American National is seeking an Intern in our Springfield, MO location.


Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited institution
  • College Junior or Senior
  • Must be pursuing degree in Business, IT or related field
  • Ideal candidate would possess a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be able to commit 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri
  • Ability to commute to Springfield, Mo
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong organization skills & attention to detail w/ high level accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • High-level initiative, follow-through & accountability for actions.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with a multifunctional project team on implementation of new product lines to existing software applications.
  • Will review provided test plans for completeness, execute and document findings.
  • Communicate findings across with the larger team to help move problem items toward resolution.
  • The project team will include the intern in meetings on planning and time allocation for the project as well as triage and prioritization efforts.

Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote)
