Overview:
AARP’s Office of Chief of Staff keeps AARP operating and informed on a day-to-day basis. The staff works closely with the CEO and other E-Team members to provide leadership and direction to make strategic decisions
Are you a creative, driven, resourceful, and self-motivated individual? AARP Enterprise Award Strategy team seeks an intern with excellent writing skills, communications experience, and someone who enjoys a multi-tasking environment. The internship will provide a wide range of communication, online platform content creation management, community engagement experiences, and other learning opportunities. This internship has an expected start date of spring and will go through December 2022.Responsibilities:
AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program

As an intern with the Enterprise Award Strategy team, you will be:
Strategic
- Apply strategic and creative thinking
Resourceful
- Contribute to finding resources and content that will help increase community engagement
- Assist in creative design elements and management of newly launched online platform
A Team Player
- The intern will attend, engage, and participate in team meetings
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the AARP Purpose Prize team with developing content, posting, and monitoring engagement in the Purpose Prize alumni community platform
- Sourcing, writing/editing content for the AARP Monthly Alumni Newsletter
- Assisting, as needed, with vendor contract invoicing-related details
- Assisting with the online management of Purpose Prize communities of learning
Prospective interns must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university; be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post-doctoral students; and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
