The DE&I Summer Internship Program is another initiative to support our DE&I approach and is a full-time, paid program that provides an in-depth introduction to CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business and the diverse range of career opportunities therein.

As the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm, CBRE will pair Interns with industry-leading subject matter experts and resources through a variety of strategic initiatives to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our GWS organization.

Responsibilities May Include

Assist with various projects and initiatives in our Global Workplace Solutions business

Work with account leadership to understand account operations, scopes of service, and financial requirements within an integrated service delivery model

Gain exposure to multiple areas of the CBRE and brainstorm ways to help improve best practices

Develop recommendations to improve the quality and consistency of services performed

Analyze the productivity of key service areas and look for opportunities for simplification and cost savings

Assists in process development and continuous process improvement exercises

Other duties may be assigned

Project Management within CRE

Account management

Great training about CRE Industry via Kickstart for Interns online course program

Site tours; MSI (Chicago and Schaumburg), CBRE (Main Office), Mondelez (Deerfield)

Conversations with leadership via GWS Speaker Series and site visits

Work with Summer Internship Partners, Toronto and Dallas based

Frequent interaction with Managers and Directors; Open-door policy (top-down)

Candidates should have a strong academic background, preferably with a focus on business or real estate. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, creative, and disciplined, seeking to excel in the commercial real estate industry.

Qualifications

Current college junior or senior pursuing bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university (major in Business Management, preferred)

Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Possesses excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present information to supervisors and management team

Financial acumen with the ability to interpret business financial documents

Demonstrated leadership and teaming capabilities

Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills

Ability to gather, analyze, interpret and summarize data; advanced Excel skills preferred
