Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Management Intern in Reston, VA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cybersecurity Risk Management Internship candidate will have the opportunity to support our enterprise cybersecurity risk management team with activities that help to mature our current information security tools, policies, procedures, and best practices- identifying and mitigating risks alongside our seasoned cyber team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply cyber security and network security concepts as well as utilize critical thinking in a complex enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in network security and be interested in how security risk is identified and managed throughout an enterprise. This candidate will be a valuable member of our cyber risk management team and your contribution will have a real and lasting impact on the cyber health of Leidos!
- Rotate through team functions to get a great holistic view of our services and what we do
- Help identify security gaps in network environment architecture, assess risk levels, make recommendations for mitigation
- Assist with C-SCRM software and third-party risk reviews and associated processes/procedures
- Perform Static Code Analysis Reviews and investigate code vulnerabilities
- Learn how to balance business and cyber risk decisions within a fast-paced corporate environment
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field with a Minimum GPA 3.0.
- Completion of Junior year requirements
- Independent analytical thinking and analysis of technology
- Ability to research and make recommendations to solve problems
- Ability to work remote/telecommute 100%
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Risk Management/SSCP/Security+/CEH experience
- Python or Java or other scripting/programing proficiency
