Intern, Building Block Chain Engineer
Position Overview
You have a passion to work in emerging technologies, things on which Google might yield little information. You’ll directly work with OC development teams, product managers, as well as infrastructure teams, and will be responsible for executing high impact, highly visible infrastructure projects that will be seen by the consumers internally and externally.
- You’d learn quite a bit about the inner-workings of how production grade REST API based backed service software gets developed and deployed to our partners and internal consumers as software-as-a-service (SaaS), and help the team build a backend Ethereum blockchain as a service and also build smartcontracts that the Applications would communicate with the blockchain backend.
- You’d engage directly with our consumers to understand what they’d value most to help increase their trust for handling their data & what matters the most to them, and how they’d want to use the new services to validate the trust.
- You will be responsible for thinking of creative ways to generate compelling, well designed reusable services, that can be used across other DES service teams in the future.
Requirements
- Currently a Junior/Senior in the BS Computer science or related engineering. Master students are preferable
- Previous experience of building solutions with REST APIs would be a plus.
- Experience working in n blockchain technologies and building dApps (would love to see applicant’s past projects if available)
- Has a passion in software design, services design, development, and deployment
- Proficient in one or more computer languages prefer Python, Java , Go , micro
- service framework and creating micro services.
- Enjoys coding and interacting presenting content to an audience through
- webinars, livestreams, etc.
bout the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in intern events such as TED talks, mentoring, fun events, and more.
