Enterprise Technology Windows Server Intern

CSC is seeking a self-motivated, inquisitive, and adventurous college student (rising Junior or Senior) to join the Windows Server team and learn how a Tier 3 group of engineers keeps our critical systems running and evolving.

Some of the things you’ll learn from us:

• See how thousands of Windows Servers in a multi domain environment are managed and administered across the globe.
• Contribute to the development of the configuration management database (CMDB) to improve the tracking of Server inventory and application relationships.
• Learn and assist with project management tasks and tracking within Servicenow.
• Explore Windows Server automation with Ansible and PowerShell to help build infrastructure as code.
• Coordinate and guide the Server Operations team for a variety of critical tasks such as migration and upgrade activity to eliminate technical debt.
• Interact with team members around the globe via Microsoft Teams chats and meetings.
• Learn how Windows Servers and compute resources are evolving from physical to virtual, and eventually transforming into a Microsoft Azure cloud-based infrastructure.
• Understand the pillars of customer service and be introduced to CSC’s Customer Promise.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

• Rising Junior or Senior (or above)
• Should possess good communication and technical writing skills with attention to details.
• Able to adapt and learn new concepts and skills through patience and tenacity.
• An inquisitive nature about technology and how it is used successfully to help the business run, grow and transform.
• Enthusiasm. CSC’s success is due to enthusiasm, excitement, and the desire to be better of each employee. Your enthusiasm here will determine the amount you learn and grow.
