Our summer internship program runs for approximately 3 months beginning in June 2022. This is a paid opportunity for 20-25 hrs/week, or up to 40 hrs/week. You’ll be paid the NY rate of $15/hour if you live in NY. You’ll be paid at $16.32/hour if you live in San Francisco.

To be considered for this internship, you must be available to participate virtually in our Internship Open House on Friday, April 22nd @ 2-5pm ET, when our interviews will take place (each selected finalist will have one 15-min meeting with our hiring team).

We'll continue monitoring the situation and determine whether our program will be onsite or virtual as we approach the start date. That said, please be prepared for this internship to be fully remote.

  • Note that this internship is open to applicants from anywhere in the U.S. You’ll work West Coast hours if you’re physically located in the West Coast, and vice versa.

Role Overview

If you are looking to build a sound foundation and acquire the skills you’ll need for pursuing a future career in sales, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As a Sales Development/Operations Intern, you’ll receive guidance from our VP, West Sales to gain an extensive knowledge of the healthcare marketing space. You will also reach out to prospects and make a huge impact on our revenue.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Research, contact, organize, and schedule qualified sales meetings with prospects that turn into revenue for the company
  • Assist our Account Executives with the sales processes, RFPs, proposals, sending contracts, sales planning, etc.
  • Attend at least 2-3 prospect meetings each week
  • Learn to master tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, Media Radar, etc.) and use them to prospect and outreach
  • Learn all about healthcare marketing, and the journey of a campaign from pitch to proposal, to negotiation and close, to seeing the campaign in action

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:

    • Juniors, seniors, and graduate students preferred; must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or be a recent graduate
    • Marketing, Business, Communications majors preferred
    • Must have good writing & communication skills
    • Ambitious, personable on client-facing calls, and outgoing
    • Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, creative, and hardworking
    • Tenacity and ability to “think on your feet”
    • Comfort in a fast-paced or start-up environment
    • Must be good with digital tools & be able to be trained on our sales tools like Outreach, Mediaradar, etc.
  • You’ll stand out if you have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of online advertising processes and technology
  • Sales or advertising background/experience a plus
  • Note that you must be legally authorized to work for a paid internship in the United States this summer through the dates of the internship program - PulsePoint does not offer visa sponsorship for this internship
