Responsibilities: The corporate communications internship will support the day-to-day function of the Corporate News & Social Media team. This will include social media monitoring and social listening across @DiscoveryIncTV’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts; writing social copy; creating social assets; updating the corporate website; building the daily executive newsletter; pulling media clips, and working with our internal business partners. Special projects will include industry competitive social analysis and benchmarking social listening research, and other executive-requested research projects as needed.
Qualifications:
This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

Corporate Communications Internship: Corporate Communications is unique because it is at the forefront of all major business initiatives at Discovery. It is our job to build relationships and connections both internally with our business partners and externally with our media partners, communicate Discovery’s business goals and brand message, and lead reputation management. Our roles are very fast-moving and always evolving, making it an exciting department to work for.

- Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Communications or Marketing majors
- Microsoft Office, social media and communications software (Khoros, Meltwater, Cision)
- Strong written and oral communications skills and research skills
- Photoshop or Canva a plus

Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.
The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.
