Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP) is the division of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products (DPEP) that brings stories and characters to life through innovative and engaging physical products and digital experiences across more than 100 categories, from toys and t-shirts, to apps, books and console games. The business is home to world-class teams of app and game creators, licensing and retail experts, a leading retail business (Disney Store and shopDisney), artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world. As part of the broader CPGP communications team, you will work closely with teams across lines of business, franchises, functions and locations. This role requires a strategic mindset, passion for collaboration, as well as excellent project management skills.
Responsibilities :
As a CPGP Intern, the ideal candidate will support the Consumer Products, Games & Publishing global business across Disney’s brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, National Geographic and shopDisney – and be responsible for creating and championing communications plans that will generate global buzz with media and consumers, help drive sales and inform broader CPGP Franchise plans.

Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or closely related field or a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months

- Provide overall support for a variety of CPGP communications goals and objectives
- Help execute global integrated communications plans for major franchise initiatives and global campaigns that deliver on business goals and help drive buzz and coverage
- Research and report out media trends, update press databases
- Draft, review & proof press materials including press releases, pitches, and media alerts
Basic Qualifications :
What you Bring to the Role....
- Experience in media relations or with a PR Agency or journalism with a student or professional publication in print, television or online media
- Proven ability to develop effective communication products
- Proficiency with Associated Press writing style
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proven ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to develop presentation materials and utilize Keynote
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills crucial to effective interaction with all levels of the organization including senior-level executives and their assistants
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with problem solving and coming up with creative solutions
- Acts as a Brand Ambassador and embodies the Disney culture and values in all aspects of their work
Required Education :

Additional Information :
Internship Eligibility:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Must have a strong, reliable internet connection
- All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
- Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
