Location: Hybrid| Program is based at our Global Headquarters in Camden, NJ (across the river from Philadelphia, PA) with remote days from home each week.

Program Overview

Campbell Soup Company is looking for a student in nutrition and dietetics for a 12-week internship starting in late May in the Nutrition Department. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Communications Analyst and gain exposure to projects focused on the role of nutrition professionals in the food industry. The intern will interface with cross functional teams including food and applied scientists, regulatory analysts, chefs, product developers, test kitchen staff, and marketers. Candidates must be in their junior year of a BS program in nutrition and dietetics or a related program, a senior already accepted into a Master’s degree or dietetic internship program, or a current Master’s student returning to the program in the Fall. Students will be part of the team and will work alongside experienced professionals on critical project initiatives.

Your Opportunity

  • Create, manipulate and analyze product nutrition reports and competitor data.
  • Apply nutrition criteria to new product development or recipe development projects.
  • Assist with interpretation of analytical data for use in creating Nutrition Facts Panels
  • Assess product claims for regulatory compliance
  • Complete a nutrition - related project based on student interest and departmental needs
  • Develop nutrition education materials to support health professional engagement.
  • Develop nutrition communication materials for digital and other communications platforms
  • Review scientific literature to inform innovation opportunities

Job Complexity

  • Candidate must be able to organize, manipulate and analyze data, draw appropriate conclusions, provide feedback and recommendations and draft clear and concise reports.

What you’ll need:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors, internship, or graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science or a related program
  • Candidates must be returning to school or a dietetic internship after the completion of the summer internship term
  • 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
  • Interest in working in the food industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate/advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Data management and assessment skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, works independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work comfortably in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Well-grounded in nutrition science and dietary guidance.
