2.3
Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. As the world’s leading mission capability integrator and transformative enterprise IT provider, we deliver trusted and highly differentiated national security solutions and technologies that keep people safe and secure. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Every day, our employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2022 Intelligence Analysis Intern in support of our Proposals team based out of Herndon, VA but this role may be supported 100% remote.

If you're looking to contribute to real-time, customer-focused work related to your field of study, then Peraton's 10 week internship program may be perfect for you! Our intern program places an emphasis on developing the next generation’s workforce; designed to provide college students with the opportunity to learn about Peraton, gain meaningful real world work experience in a professional environment, and work on programs that enable missions of national importance. As part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various branches of the company. This includes attending brown bag sessions with our executive leadership team, joining developmental learning lessons, and participating in team-building activities with mentors and fellow interns. We foster a culture of mentoring, continuous learning, and team orientation that will be evident from your first day on the job. Our goal is to build a road-map that leads you to a long, rewarding, and challenging career with Peraton! We work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to achieve your goals.

Peraton has an opportunity for Intelligence Analysis interns to apply the skills they’re gaining in the classroom to real-world problems. Interns will examine a cross-section of post-award proposal debriefs and perform a root-cause analysis, looking for trends and patterns that would indicate areas for improvement on future bids. Analysts will need to use techniques that normalize data from multiple different sources using various scoring methods to uncover actionable commonality. As opposed to a series of metrics that one would expect from data analysis, the IA output is expected to be more nuanced and qualitative - a challenge that requires skills in data interpretation and not just data scoring.

Internship Advantages:

  • Meaningful work for a national security and space intelligence company.
  • Primary channel for full-time, entry-level hires.
  • Competitive pay.
  • Interaction with executives and leadership.
  • Organized professional development and social activities.

This opportunity is geared toward Intelligence Analysis majors, actively enrolled at a four-year university, who will be rising into their junior or senior years. However, strong underclassmen may be considered if they have declared their major and have completed qualified coursework.
