Los Angeles’ premier mobile games studio, Jam City is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern to join its fast-growing communications team right here in the heart of the entertainment industry for the Spring 2021 semester. A unique opportunity to join an award-winning gaming company, this is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to break into the mobile gaming space and work at the intersection of mobile technology and games.

Jam City is the creator of leading games like; Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Disney Frozen Adventures, Disney Emoji Blitz and Cookie Jam. This position is exclusively dedicated to media relations and press outreach support. You will report directly to the Director of Public Relations and get the opportunity to work on executive communications, corporate social media ideation, and general press outreach. This internship includes an opportunity to service major gaming industry trade shows, as well as other fast-paced, news-driving opportunities.

Internship Program Qualifications:

    • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S (Juniors or Seniors preferred) and able to intern remotely through late-August 2022. At this time, our program is not open to new grads
    • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Summer 2022 session. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
    • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Support in-house public relations team with researching media contacts, creating pitches and related press materials, identifying executive visibility opportunities, and researching and handling awards submissions.
    • In-depth media research for coverage opportunities
    • Editorial calendar research and deadlines database creation / maintenance and reporting Support PR team with major gaming industry conferences, including booking press appointments and executive interviews
    • Serving as liaison between media and Jam City communications team / executives
    • Creative brainstorming idea development in line with the company's key corporate, product and technology-driven objectives
    • Monitor and analyze competitive and industry coverage
    • Draft written materials including blog posts, social content, research projects press releases, and PR plans.

WHO YOU ARE:

    • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program in the U.S. (Juniors or Seniors preferred) during the Summer 2022 program and returning to classes during Fall 2022
    • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)
    • Exemplary writing skills - interest in writing corporate blogs, social media announcements, etc.
    • Interest in games, pop culture, public relations, and the entertainment industry
    • Flexible working style to accommodate a start-up environment
About Jam City’s Internship Program:

Jam City’s Summer 2022 Remote Internship Program will take place from June 13th through August 25th and will be primarily remote with the possibility of one week being on-site (travel provided for non local students). Students can expect a paid, part-time (up to 30 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem-solving skills through real hands-on experiences. We’re looking for students that bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest or passion for mobile games.
