Human Resources - Talent Acquisition Internship
Northern Tool + Equipment is excited to announce our 2022 Internship Program. The program is designed to kick-start your career and provide real-world experience in your chosen profession. Interns will further develop their skills and knowledge by completing project-based work that addresses real business issues. The program also connects participants with management at various levels of the organization and provides an inside view of Northern’s environment and culture. The program structure includes an end-of- program project presentation by the intern to members of Northern’s management team.
We’re currently searching for 2 Human Resources interns to join our growing internal Talent Acquisition department. You will be assigned a specific project that results in informing our talent strategy. The projects are designed to maximize your career potential, provide valuable business acumen, networking opportunities, and will add great value to our company!
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Project A will focus on researching and developing recommendations that will inform and grow our early careers (internships, co-ops, etc.) programs.
- Project B will focus on advancing our retail recruitment processes and developing recommendations to ensure that we are attracting top talent in the communities we serve.
- Innovate new tools, processes or platforms that optimize the overall recruiter process.
- Be an active member of the growing Human Resources team by providing creative ideas on process efficiency.

What we are seeking in an intern:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Business/Human Resources or related degree
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with process mapping, data analysis tools preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work remote (depending on COVID guidelines)
- Retail Experience a plus
