Retail Relations Intern
Part Time, Summer 2022
We are looking for a thoughtful, well-spoken, and ambitious candidate to learn all about retail technology sales, brand partnerships, and retail relations. This role will help our team expand Garmentier’s Retail Partner network and enterprise software sales pipeline. ABOUT THE ROLE
At Garmentier, Retail Relations encompasses the processes by which we reach out to, pitch, and close new retailers to be a part of the Garmentier platform, and ultimately, our enterprise sales pipeline. Our retail partners are crucial in the success of our stylists - and our stylists are crucial in the eyes of our retail partners!
You will be working closely with our CEO and Jr. Chief of Staff to plan and execute retailer outreach strategy, create partnership program collateral, and support our existing retail partners through the process of learning about and joining Garmentier’s partner network. You will also observe sales calls and even reach out to top retail executives to introduce Garmentier and incentivize them to join our partner network. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Taking ownership of a list of target retail contacts to approach for future partnerships with Garmentier
Directly supporting our CEO with follow-up and communication with prospective retail partners and enterprise software clients
Note-taking during partnership calls and enterprise sales demos
Performing daily maintenance and upkeep of retail contacts and sales leads in Hubspot
Assisting Jr. Chief of Staff in preparation for demos with prospective retail partners and enterprise clients
Performing monthly maintenance and upkeep of our enterprise resource support guides
Conducting ongoing analysis on our database of affiliate shopping partners (i.e. commission-based links for stylists!)
Other industry research (retail, fashion, and software spaces) as it pertains to our marketplace and enterprise software sales cycle and value proposition
AT GARMENTIER YOU WILL
Learn the retail technology space as well as our customer (the Stylist) inside and out
Understand the needs of retailers from a business, shopping and technology standpoint
Explore great relationship-building tactics and perfecting your technology “sales pitch”
Help our team to conceive, develop and roll out new tools and processes for our retail partners
Help shape and communicate the Garmentier brand identity to the retail world
A Plus if You Have…
Interest in and/or experience in the evolution of the retail industry and how technology and salespeople will pave the way for the future
Experience with SaaS & enterprise software sales and/or marketplace platforms
Deep contacts within the retail industry
