Jr. Software Engineer- Overseas
Enterprise Knowledge (EK) is looking for a full-time Jr. Software Engineer to join our growing Technology Solutions Practice with an initial 8-month overseas assignment in the Gulf Region. This individual should be a self-starter, conscientious, naturally curious, and eager to improve their craft, with excellent technical, problem solving, and communication skills. This individual will be working on-site at the client's office, working alongside a small team while in-country.
Enterprise Knowledge (EK) will design, develop, deploy, and maintain a state-of-the-art KM Portal for our Gulf Region client’s enterprise business needs over the course of an 18-month engagement. The KM Portal is an enterprise information portal that will transform the way the client works by improving the findability and discoverability of the client’s knowledge and information across its key content repositories. The KM Portal will include the following technologies:
- Content Management System;
- Enterprise Search Engine;
- Graph Database;
- Metadata Store;
- Taxonomy/Ontology Manager; and
- Data Catalog.

- Required Skills and Qualifications: *
- 1+ years of web development experience, including internship experience.
- 1+ years of experience using backend language (PHP, Python, .NET, Node).
- Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS.
- 1+ years of experience using databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities as well as working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.

- Preferred Skills and Qualifications: *
- Knowledge and/or experience in agile software development.
- Proof of holistic coursework, demonstrating the ability to write, research, and communicate through a variety of means.
- At least one year of experience in web-based development projects (either through internships or academic projects).
- Strong understanding of source code repository practices.
- Coursework or training in database structure and query design.
