Summer Interns – Remote / Paid


The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) is currently hiring several remote Summer Interns for the following departments:

  • Advocacy / Congressional and Political Affairs / State Affairs
  • Business Development
  • Economics and Practice Innovation (Public Health, Public Policy majors)
  • FAER (Business, Fundraising majors)
  • Finance
  • Governance / Human Resources
  • IT / Project Management)
  • Meetings (Hospitality Management majors)
  • Member and Product Experience / Marketing and Communications
  • Publications

These part-time, seasonal positions will offer challenging work/project(s) within an exciting industry. The Summer Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Association professionals in a flexible, innovative, mission-driven, and member-centric environment.

Internship Details:

  • Paid internship.
  • 10-12-week commitment (during summer).
  • Interns will work approximately 25 hours per week.
  • Interns will be closely managed/mentored by their hiring manager.
  • Interns will receive feedback regarding their work and performance.

Internship Eligibility:

  • Students must be enrolled in a college/university. Sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students are preferred.
  • Preference will be given to students receiving college credit for the internship.
  • Students must interview with Human Resources and the Manager/Director who will be responsible for overseeing the work.
  • Students must intern in an area which is related to their academic major and degree.
