Peraton is seeking a Summer 2022 Finance Intern in our Omaha, NE location with some remote capabilities allowed. We have exciting internship opportunities for college Juniors or Seniors in Omaha, Nebraska supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM).
Peraton operates the IT systems for USSTRATCOM in all domains: land, air, sea, space, and cyber. To effectively support this large mission, USSTRATCOM depends on Peraton/ITCC to operate/maintain the IT as well as lead modernization efforts around infrastructure and application deployment. This includes cybersecurity for the IT/systems to more readily defend, detect, process, and respond to threats.
We are seeking candidates to support the program finance and procurement team.
Interns will participate in a 10 week program starting in June 2022. Successful candidates could transition to part-time support and also be submitted for a security clearance.
Responsibilities:
Learn and support the Peraton finance, procurement, and business processes
Create and present reports to the stakeholders to support recommendations
Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights
Improve training and operational procedures within the business to increase efficiency/productivity
Requirements gathering and applying accounting concepts Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvements
Required Qualifications:
Must be a full-time college student at an accredited university obtaining a Bachelors in business/finance or related degree
Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) over the 2022 summer
Basic knowledge of financial fundamentals and business processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be local to the Omaha, NE location with the ability to commute on-site a few times per week as remote/telework options are available 1-2 times per week
US citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications:
Secret clearance is highly preferred/desired
3.0 and above GPA
Rising Seniors and Juniors strongly preferred, however strong underclassmen may also be considered.
