IronNet’s Paid Internship program is designed to provide college students an opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. IronNet emphasizes developing the next generation’s workforce. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding and challenging career, possibly with IronNet. We will work with you to define your desired career path and the correct steps to get you to your goals. Outside of gaining hands-on experience, you will attend training sessions taught by skilled leaders in our company. These training sessions range from finance, personality in the workplace, presentation skills, resume building, and more. You will work with your mentor to identify the best times for you to come in and leave work. You will work no more than 40 hours a week.
As the Finance Intern, you will have an opportunity to work with accounting, the Financial Planning and Analysis team, and the systems that allow the teams to report financial metrics, internally and externally. You will be able to understand and follow financial trends by using practical knowledge of financial laws and government regulations under the finance team and will work with the Controller’s team, Financial Planning and Analysis team, and Data Management team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Accounting / Finance / Data systems

• Drive process improvement and capability enhancement projects that span across Accounting, FP&A and the Data Office
• Build leading analytic dashboards that inform operational excellence across Marketing, Sales, Product and Support functions
• Quantitative analysis and financial modeling; work with Sr. team members to create qualitative and quantitative analyses that support various projects, many of which involve the creation and use of customized financial models and spreadsheets
• Be involved in projects driving integration of enterprise systems like Salesforce, Netsuite, ADP and FloQast
• Able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statically and narrative formats.

Qualifications: *

• Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, emphasis in Excel Interest and desire to learn code for advanced analysis, dashboarding
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field at an accredited university
• Ideal candidates will be rising juniors or rising seniors
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively on teams
• Self-motivated with an ability to work towards prescribed timelines/deadlines.
• Developed problem solving skills and a solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges
• Ability to dig into the details but also see the big picture
• Ability to think and act strategically and independently
