Marketing Summer Intern
Sol Systems is seeking a Marketing Summer Intern to join our Marketing & Communications team in Washington, DC. The intern will support the Marketing & Communications team in all aspects of the team's work, but primarily focus on research of market trends, analysis of active marketing assets, reporting of marketing initiatives, and internal communications initiatives in support of the Human Resources team. The Marketing Analyst will also assist in the execution of conference planning, logistics, and tracking.
The intern can expect to learn about the planning and implementation of working in a marketing communications environment, gain insight into the analytics sphere for web, advertisement, and social media statistics, the writing and editing process, as well as functioning in a fast-moving team. All while supporting business objectives, advance skills in analytics, reporting and marketing research, as well as deepening their familiarity with the solar industry.

The Marketing Intern will be responsible for:
- Supporting marketing communications initiatives including market research, analytics reporting, blog and journal writing and editing
- Assisting with event planning and logistics
- Researching conferences and logistics
- Internal communications
- Analyzing and reporting data from Google Analytics
- Assisting in writing social media posts and reports
- Assisting in tracking the ROI on campaigns and presenting findings and insights
- Writing up one-pagers, case studies, blog articles, and other short form and long form content
- Additional tasks and duties may be assigned as needed
A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- A current junior or senior undergraduate majoring in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Previous experience in a Marketing/Communications internship
- Knowledge of Google Analytics
- Social media experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of AP style
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence
- Highly organized individual
- Creative problem solver
Location & Hours: This is a remote internship with a required 30-40 hours per week
Commitment & Compensation: This is a paid internship. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
