Job Summary
FordDirect is looking to hire an Intern within the Marketing team for our Summer 2022 Internship Program. This position will provide exposure to product marketing, branding, dealer communications and working with internal teams. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain real-world, business experience on a Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in marketing technology (e.g., web design, marketing automation).
This will be a paid position based in Dearborn, MI within a hybrid work environment (home-based and in-office). The internship will run from May through July.
Essential Functions
- Attend FordDirect’s New Employee Orientation program.
- Assist the team representative on a variety of tasks such as meetings, managing marketing metrics, interacting with teams, and more.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns to support key product marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate a project working with Marketing and the Dealer Engagement Team to assign Buyer Personas to Salesforce contact records for one Market Area.
- Learn marketing automation software, assist with QA and deployment of campaign emails.
- Analyze marketing metrics to make recommendations for improved Dealer engagement.
Learning Opportunities
- Gain knowledge working for a Digital Marketing Company within the automotive industry.
- Obtain experience working both independently and on a team.
- Exposure to key aspects of the GTM plan execution, including how to leverage marketing automation software and social media for product campaigns.
- Assignment of Personas within the Salesforce CRM to establish foundation for future targeting strategies of our Dealer customers.
- Obtain knowledge in building consistency of customer (dealer) experience across digital platforms in B2B environment.
- Will learn how to measure and track marketing effectiveness across engagement channels.
Other Duties
- Abide by the policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct of the company.
- Handle personal information (“PI”) that pertains to any individual (e.g., leads, dealers, employees, job applicants, etc.) in accordance with FordDirect’s Privacy Policy and public facing privacy statements on FordDirect managed websites.
- Complete any required training.
- Promptly report any known or suspected loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure or use of PI to the General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer or Chief Information Officer.
- Adhere to the company’s compliance program.
- Safeguard the company’s intellectual property, information, and assets.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Education
Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Marketing or Business
