Player Experience Insights Intern (Summer 2022)

Los Angeles’ premier mobile games studio, Jam City is seeking a Player Experience Insights Intern to join its Insights organization for the Summer 2022 semester. Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S (Juniors or Seniors preferred) and able to intern remotely through late-August 2022. At this time, our program is not open to new grads.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Summer 2022 session. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work with the Player Experience Insights team to inspire a player-first culture at Jam City and provide insights aimed to improve loyalty, retention and growth.
  • Analyze experience management data from multiple sources including survey data, behavioral data, app store review data and social media sentiment. Reports will include analysis and recommendations on the entire player journey including discovery, game experience and churn.
  • Create a player journey map for at least one game. This will include developing listening points in the journey (discovery, install, FTUE, usage, etc.) and creating a strategic roadmap for each point in the journey. The journey map will identify pain points, provide recommendations, and set measurable outcomes.
  • Create and modify SQL queries to analyze player analytics data used to support player journey mapping
  • Monitor and report on App Store sentiment and Social Media data for key competitive games
  • Play Jam City and competitive games as needed
  • Take initiative to stay current with industry trends and best practices in the mobile games industry and in the experience management industry

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program and able to intern remotely through end of August 2022
  • Strong coursework or project experience in quantitative analysis. Passion for analysis and data a must.
  • Experience with survey data analysis is highly desirable
  • Strong data analysis & SQL skills
  • Passion for casual mobile games
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Interest in psychology and human motivation
About Jam City’s Internship Program:

Jam City’s Summer 2022 Remote Internship Program will take place from June 13th through August 25th and will be primarily remote with the possibility of one week being on-site (travel provided for non local students). Students can expect a paid, part-time (up to 30 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem-solving skills through real hands-on experiences. We’re looking for students that bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest or passion for mobile games.
