What to Expect:
A 10-week paid internship where you will work with a high-energy team that’s responsible for corporate messaging, media relations, corporate events, and much more. The internship will allow you to gain real-world experience you won’t find in the classroom by leading and contributing to projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities
What does our department do?
The Corporate Communications team focuses on internal and external communications, and community relations. We also manage the corporate website and the employee intranet.
We tell the story of Frontdoor and its brands, in partnership with our creative, social and marketing teams.
Our interns have the opportunity to learn about writing, editing, production, event planning, and more.
What will you be doing?
Project : Create and drive a thought leadership content strategy across key channels and audiences to further raise the business persona of critical Frontdoor leaders.
Description: The project’s objective is to elevate the persona and awareness of Frontdoor, its brands and its leaders across key channels and audiences. This support’s the communications positioning, storytelling and editorial approach to continually create and amplify relevant and attention-grabbing content. To deploy an effective, planned thought-leadership strategy will result in a greater drum beat of consistent messages that allow key audience groups to understand and connect to Frontdoor’s journey and mission.
The assignment requires highly collaborative work across functions. It will require testing, measuring and adjusting based on engagement metrics. The expected result from this assignment is increased engagement of Frontdoor content across designated channels and audiences, including 20 content posts that drive education and awareness, and a crafted bank of messages that align back to the business objectives of each leader.

Qualifications
Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copy editing skills. Experience writing for different formats with different styles (formal, conversational, comedy, etc.).
Working knowledge of AP Style.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word. PowerPoint, Excel).
Available for a 10-week internship in Summer 2022
Available to work 40 hours per week
Preferred Requirements:
An undergraduate student (junior or senior) or graduate student who is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change whilemaintaining a positive attitude.
A self-starter who creates personal and professional stretch goals and meets them.
Works well with others in a highly collaborative environment and builds trust with the team.
Curiosity and ability to think creatively.
A great sense of humor and the ability to multi-task with ease.
