Applicants will be offered a role in one of the three participating functions of Marketing, Merchandising, and Inventory Management, and work in each of these areas learning our core business processes and store operations. Your role at Sephora:
Sephora’s Store Development department is responsible for selecting sites, designing and building new stores, managing the company’s real estate portfolio, maintaining our stores, managing vendor relationships, and implementing sustainability and risk mitigation initiatives across the company. As a Store Design intern, you may be involved in, but not limited to:
- Assisting with design of floor plans, interior elevations, and storefronts including putting together design presentations and packages
- Assisting with review and coordination of construction documents and details
- Understanding and communicating drawing and permitting schedules
- Assisting with prototype development by researching materials, specifications, or finishes
- Organization or filing of materials or existing drawings
- Shadow various Store Design PMs to understand the life cycle of a project, end to end, from Real Estate conception through Construction completion
- Assist on various special projects
- Partnering with architectural and engineering consultants
- Site visits

- Get exposure to cross-functional teams. Sephora has a highly collaborative culture, so you are encouraged and expected to work closely with other related teams such as Real Estate, Retail Operations, Merchandising, and Construction

What you will accomplish:
- Manage or collaborate on projects using a hands-on approach
- Contribute to Sephora’s Store Design workflow for new stores, relocations, expansions, remodels, enhancements, and Sephora @ Kohl’s projects
- Learn from the best by interacting with a dynamic and widely-experienced team of professionals
To help ensure success, we are requiring the following characteristics, skills and experiences:
Education and experience:
- At minimum, currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design and at junior or senior level receiving credit hours
- Required Skill: AutoCAD
- Preferred Skills: Hand sketching, Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup or other 3D rendering program
