Peraton is seeking a Summer 2022 Data Analytics Intern in support of our Corporate IT program based out of our Chantilly, VA location but occasional remote/telework work is allowed.

As a member of Peraton Corporate IT, the intern will collaborate across the multiple teams to accomplish the following tasks and objectives. This will afford the intern the opportunity for growth in their abilities to conduct data analytics are large volumes of data, translate results into actionable tasks and enhance collaboration and communication skills.

Intern will perform data analysis on ServiceNow ticket data for the corporation identifying trends with recommendations for automation and overall improvement of existing ticket work-flows. Overarching goal is to enhance the user experience. To successfully accomplish, expect the potential candidate to be proficient in the following:
  • Performs data engineering, predictive modelling, and results visualization.
  • Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets.
  • Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • HS diploma and some advanced level training.
  • 3.0 and above GPA.
  • Must be actively pursuing a 4-year degree at an accredited university.
  • You have completed progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Modeling, Data Analytics, or related Data Science field.
  • You have the ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
  • You are local to the Chantilly, VA or Northern Virginia area able to commute on-site most days.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience through coursework or internships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office.
  • An ideal candidate would be a rising junior or senior.
