Cox Automotive, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is seeking a Product Management Intern to join our Dealer Software Solutions team.
As a Product Management Intern, you will be working on several high-profile projects including a Customer Data MDM solution and a project to improve the car purchase process for dealers, consumers, and OEMs. Your key deliverables will include Discovery with stakeholders, working directly with an engineering team to refine work, and evaluating CRM/product metrics to inform how a launch is progressing and what should be worked next.

Technology we use:
- Mural, Confluence, Rally, Sharepoint, Microsoft Office & Teams, Slack, Product Plan
- Tech Stack: AWS and Cloud-based technologies, .NET, React, SQL Server, Javascript, etc
- Analytics tooling: Google Analytics, Domo, Auryc
- Product Management - Applies standard techniques and tools to carry out analysis and performance monitoring activities for specified products. Supports problem resolution, resolves issues and acts on feedback and usage of in-life products. Creates product collateral and monitors results and feedback from product campaigns.
- Requirements Definition & Management - Assists in the definition and management of requirements. Uses standard techniques to elicit, specify, and document requirements for simple subject areas with clearly defined boundaries. Assists in the creation of a requirements baseline and in investigating and applying authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.
- Innovation - Assists with coordinating and facilitating the communication and open flow of creative ideas between interested parties and the set-up of innovation networks and communities.

- Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.
- Work in Agile Delivery team participating in all meetings and ceremonies
- Collaborating closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to
- Perform data analysis and testing
- Perform trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary
Compensation:
- Hourly pay rate is $20.00 - 27.00/hour. The hourly rate may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
- Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Product Management, MIS, CIS, Marketing, Engineering, or Business major
- Good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- 10-week internship commitment (located in Kansas City Area - Mission, KS). This is a hybrid role where some days could be remote as mutually agreed upon.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to synthesize information quickly at a high level and makes decisions in ambiguous situations
- Ability to pay strong attention to detail, and collaborate and function effectively in a team environment and independently on complex problems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, curiosity, and hunger to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Sophomore or Junior
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee and will not need sponsorship now or in the future

- Experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
- Junior classification
- Ability to generate effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
- Ability to invite dialogue to gain an exchanged views and influences with confidence to drive performance and achieve business results
- Demonstrates an understanding of how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
