DMED Compensation, Reporting & Analysis Internship – Summer 2022

Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ Hotstar and Star; as well as all domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DMED is also responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines.

Responsibilities :
A day in life... As part of DMED’s Data Process & Reporting team. This internship will provide support to the Data Process & Reporting team. For this position strong data analysis, attention to detail and intermediate excel skills are essential. Prior professional experience is helpful but not necessary. Regular responsibilities will include extraction of data from systems of record, basic data analysis (data compare, data validation and audit, simple analysis and formulas in excel, creation of simple charts and graphs, creation of pivot tables, etc.).

Basic Qualifications :
What we are looking for…
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (especially Excel), exposure to MS Power Suite (particularly Power Query and MS Access) a plus
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills interfacing with colleagues across departments at all levels
  • An interest in Human Resources and/or HR systems and data
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, eager to learn and willing to take on new and unfamiliar challenges
  • Comfort with learning new technology and applications
  • High analytical proficiency
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • An appreciation for the Disney brand!

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Comfort or ability to manage and analyze large data sets
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Required Education :
  • Currently completing Junior year, heading into Senior year; enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class.
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Financial Analysis, Mathematics, Business Data Analytics, Data Science or related field
  • Classes taken in statistical methods and quantitative analysis would be extremely helpful

Additional Information :
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June – August/September 2022 – (12 Weeks)
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Work Environment: This opportunity may be located in Los Angeles, California
  • Remote/In person: If remote, the internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space and the ability to work independently at their own housing. If in person the intern is required to provide own housing and transportation to and from work in the surrounding area to the office.
