Our Program
The WEX Internship offers a 12 week experience for students looking for work experience with the flexibility to attend school throughout the year. Our internship program is designed to provide interns hands-on, practical experiences while working alongside some of our industry’s smartest teams; as well as providing immediate value to their teams and our leaders.
As an intern, you will be challenged and offered the opportunity to make an impact across the business and be involved in the company’s most critical business decisions. We are looking for ambitious and curious students, who are interested in growing professionally and developing their skills to become the next generation of leaders in technology.
We are specifically looking for individuals with technical backgrounds, leadership potential and interest in applying continuous improvement methodologies in a dynamic business environment.
What you will be doing in this role:
Our Global Fleet Operations team is looking for a Continuous Improvement Co-Op Intern. This position will support the Global Fleet team on a number of key initiatives that support the delivery of value to customers and help transform our internal software development practices.
**This is a remote position.
You will be:

Working with a diverse group of functional areas such as Software Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Product Management, and business verticals on projects that are focused on improving operating performance.

Facilitating discussions with Subject Matter Experts to identify opportunities, define problems and develop solutions to address root causes.

Creating end-to-end process maps that reflect the lifecycle of customer value delivery.

Reviewing and interpreting metrics and other key performance indicators (KPI) in order to drive continuous improvement.

Managing the delivery of continuous improvement projects/initiatives in an agile environment.

Assisting with the development of strategic initiatives specific to Global Fleet.

Conducting detailed data-driven analyses of business processes.

Acting as an internal consultant, developing recommendations and options to address business needs and spearheading the implementation of those recommendations through hands-on contribution

Who we are looking for:

At a minimum, you should be a rising junior, senior, OR masters-level student, in a degree/certificate-seeking accredited program

Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Basic understanding of Agile methodology, metrics and reporting tools such as Daily Stand-ups / Huddles, Velocity, and Cumulative Flow.

Comfort in coaching and influencing others.
