What to Expect:
A 10-week paid internship where you will work with a high-energy team that’s responsible for gathering data, developing solutions that will improve the overall business and lead an improvement project that you will present at the end of the summer. The internship will allow you to gain real-world experience you won’t find in the classroom by leading and contributing to projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

What does our department do?

The Process Improvement team uses Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to identify and improve business processes

Translates data into actionable business intelligence

Leads the implementation of cross functional improvement projects

What will you be doing?

Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process control changes.

Develop solutions that improve the business

Lead a small-scale improvement project

Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop reports for setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions.

Make a formal presentation to your team and to management at the close out of the project

Qualifications

Requirements:
Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Able to build good working relationships with other inside the organization

Research and analysis skills

Ability to organize and create logical presentations of research results

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Available for a 10-week internship in Summer 2022

Available to work 40 hours per week

Preferred Requirements:
Previous internship experience

An undergraduate student (junior or senior) who is currently pursuing a degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Statistics or a related field

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong critical thinking capability, self-motivated, task-focused individual

Demonstrated curiosity towards patterns, trends, and problem solving

Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills

Great verbal and written communication

Experience with Microsoft Office 365, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
