Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Intern supports projects to launch new health IT products/product enhancements, cross-sell and up-sell products, and help retain existing customers. This position provides opportunities to establish foundational experiences building market, product, and competitive understanding to craft targeted communications, marketing materials, and sales tools. The Product Marketing Intern will be exposed to a variety of projects to gain a strong understanding of how the product marketing function impacts a business. Internship Location: This internship will follow a hybrid workplace model to foster collaboration as well as flexibility. Please only apply if you will be able to do both remote and on-site work at our Rosemont, IL offices (HQ).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Product messaging and sales enablement:
Develop understanding of assigned IMO product(s) and target audience(s)
Create marketing copy that articulates our unique capabilities and value
Research competitive landscape, develop competitive analysis focusing on online strategy
Build sales tools and enablement resources
Lead generation:
Collaborate closely with content marketing writers to build email and campaign landing page copy and necessary graphics
Collaborate closely with the performance marketing team to identify target lists, review, and test materials prior to launch, and evaluate marketing metrics
Collaborate with social media manager to develop and execute a mini-campaign
Effectively manage projects to deliver on-time, high-quality results
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Diverse Sophomore or Junior level classroom experience and a passion within the field of Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related.
Curiosity and eagerness to explore B2B software/SaaS/Technology or Services Marketing in Healthcare.
Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong quantitative skills; interest in competitive analysis and market research is a plus.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Passion for understanding complex ideas and explaining them in clear, simple terms.

An autonomous attitude. Of course, we’re here to teach, support and guide you through the internship, but ultimately, you will own projects and your development.
