Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting the Telecommunication Administrator with telecom initiatives at a mid-sized banking institution, this position will respond to end-user problems, work with outside vendors and monitor the current telecommunication system.
- Provide support of telecommunication equipment and circuits to all branches and operation centers throughout the bank.
- Analyze help-desk calls related to telecommunications to diagnose and direct remediation
- Provide onsite assistance for remote telecom installs
- Work with various vendors on installations and troubleshooting problems.
- Assist with paperwork/requests for telecom projects
- Provide pc support assistance if needed
- Performs all tasks as assigned by the Network Manager.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior and attaining an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a business related field with Information Technology related courses.
- Strong customer service, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Telecommunication hardware and software to facilitate technical problem solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team and remain on task.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Prior employment in Telecommunications/Info Technology or technical support is preferred.
This internship would ideally start in the spring and last through the summer. The duration of the internship is not to exceed 6 months.
