Group IT Audit Internship (summer 2022)
Zurich is currently looking for an Group IT Audit Intern to work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
This intern will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor.
This position will be responsible for:
- Group Audit Innovation related projects helping to further improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal audit function, specifically in the information and technology area
- Further develop project management skills
- Depending on prior experience, get to work on data science/data analytics projects using large data sets
Other development opportunities:
- Understand IT operations and service delivery
- Understand data and information management
Basic Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Information Technology, Information Security, Data Science, or related field
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2022
- Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
- Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
- Strong interest in Internal Audit and or Risk Management
- Strong interest in IT management and/or IT risk management
- Data Science background/data analytics background
- Strong interest in the insurance industry
- Problem-solving skills in customer-focused environment
- Quick Learner
- Experience in a leadership role
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
